Domaine Muret

Domaine Muret is located near Castelnau-de-Guers, close to Pézenas, in a Mediterranean environment influenced by the nearby Thau lagoon. Managed for more than twenty years by Christophe and Béatrice Muret, the estate is part of the historic Domaine de Castelnau, whose origins date back to the 13th century. This rich heritage gives the property a unique identity, combining Languedoc tradition with a contemporary vision of winemaking.

The vineyard benefits from maritime influences that temper the summer heat and help preserve the grapes’ aromatic freshness. Planted on limestone and clay-limestone soils, the parcels are home to Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Noir and especially Picpoul, the region’s emblematic grape variety, which expresses itself here with remarkable elegance and salinity.

In the cellar, winemaking focuses above all on fruit purity and balance. Ageing in stainless steel tanks or partially in oak barrels brings finesse and complexity while preserving aromatic precision.
