Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau

Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau

Based in the Mâconnais, Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau has, in just a few years, established itself as one of the most sought-after names in the region. Founded with its first vintage in 2010, the estate, run by Frantz Chagnoleau and Caroline Gon, now spans around 7 hectares. It focuses on key appellations of southern Burgundy, with a clear ambition: to craft terroir-driven white wines that are precise, vibrant and highly expressive.

The estate’s signature lies in a demanding approach, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The vines are farmed under organic practices, with careful soil work and a low-intervention philosophy aimed at preserving the most faithful expression of the terroir. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts, and ageing takes place in a combination of oak barrels and stainless steel, with a deliberately restrained use of wood. This allows the wines to evolve without being marked by oak, preserving purity of fruit, natural tension and the mineral precision that define the domaine’s style.

The wines of Frantz Chagnoleau stand out for their balance between fruit brightness, textural finesse and limestone-driven depth. They are defined by their energy, precision and elegance, offering a contemporary and refined expression of the Mâconnais. The domaine is now regarded as a benchmark for those seeking Chardonnay wines that are pure, refined and deeply rooted in their origin.
