Domaine Chantal Lescure
Domaine Chantal Lescure
Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Domaine Chantal Lescure was founded in 1975 and today covers approximately 18 hectares spread across the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. From Nuits-Saint-Georges to Vosne-Romanée, as well as Chambolle-Musigny, Volnay and Pommard, the estate offers a precise and nuanced interpretation of Burgundy’s great terroirs, exclusively dedicated to Pinot Noir.
Committed to organic farming since the late 1990s and certified organic since 2006, the domaine follows a demanding approach focused on soil vitality and controlled yields. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts and carefully judged ageing aim to preserve the most faithful expression of each individual climat.
A distinctive anecdote reflects the estate’s philosophy: from the very beginning, Chantal Lescure made the bold decision to invest in parcels across several emblematic villages rather than concentrating on a single appellation. Unusual at the time for an estate of this size, this vision shaped its identity as a true “house of terroirs,” where each cuvée is conceived as the singular expression of a specific place rather than a stylistic exercise.
