Domaine Potinet Ampeau

Domaine Potinet Ampeau

Located in Monthélie, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is a family estate whose history dates back to the early 20th century. For several generations, the family has cultivated around 20 hectares of vineyards spread across Monthélie, Meursault, Volnay and Pommard, exploring different expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on some of the historic climats of the Côte de Beaune.

The estate is known for its unique philosophy of wine ageing. For many years, the wines were intentionally kept in the cellar for extended periods before being released, a practice that has become increasingly rare in Burgundy. This patience allows the wines to reach an ideal level of maturity before they are brought to market.

As a result, the wines display remarkable depth and complexity, revealing over time the elegance and finesse of the great terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
