Laurent Chardigny

Located in Leynes, at the crossroads of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, Domaine Laurent Chardigny occupies a distinctive position between two major wine regions. This unique setting shapes the estate’s identity, drawing on both the freshness and structure of southern Burgundy and the more supple, fruit-driven character of Beaujolais. Built over generations, the domaine reflects a long-standing attachment to this transitional landscape, where different influences naturally converge.

The vineyard covers around 20 hectares, planted on clay-limestone slopes, with a strong focus on Saint-Véran, alongside cuvées from Saint-Amour, Beaujolais-Villages and Bourgogne. This dual regional footprint allows the estate to offer more than a range of appellations, it provides a broader and more nuanced expression of this viticultural crossroads. The whites are defined by their tension and brightness, while the reds retain a supple, approachable and clearly articulated profile.

The estate is also committed to organic farming, combined with a low-intervention approach in the cellar. Beyond these practices, what stands out most is the clarity of style: wines that favor precision and balance over demonstration, with a direct expression of fruit and terroir. This restraint, paired with the richness of its location, gives Domaine Laurent Chardigny a profile that is both accessible and deeply rooted in its origins.
