Domaine Jean Chartron
Domaine Jean Chartron
In the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Jean Chartron has embodied the village's winemaking heritage since the mid-19th century. Founded in 1859 by Jean-Édouard Dupard, the estate was later entrusted to the Chartron family, who played a significant role in establishing the reputation of Puligny-Montrachet and Burgundy's great wines.
Today, the estate spans 14.5 hectares of vineyards across Puligny-Montrachet and neighbouring villages. Most of the vineyard is classified as Premier Cru and Grand Cru, offering an outstanding diversity of terroirs. The estate is also distinguished by three prestigious monopoles: Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Pucelle, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos du Cailleret, and Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Clos des Chevaliers, true jewels of the family's heritage.
The wines of Domaine Jean Chartron are renowned for their precision, balance and elegance, faithfully expressing the finest limestone terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. Bright, refined and remarkably pure, they perfectly embody the classic style of Puligny-Montrachet and rank among the appellation's finest expressions.
