Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot
Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot
Based in Beaune, Domaine Jean-Jacques Giboulot farms around 12 hectares of vineyards spread across Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Volnay and other renowned terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. The estate quickly became recognised for its environmental commitment: as early as the 1970s, Jean-Jacques Giboulot made the visionary decision to convert the vineyards to organic farming and later to biodynamics, becoming one of the true pioneers of this approach in Burgundy.
Today, his son Guillaume Giboulot continues this work with the same level of dedication, paying particular attention to soil life, natural balance and the precise expression of each climat. The vines are cultivated without herbicides or synthetic products, following a philosophy deeply respectful of nature and the vineyard’s natural rhythms.
In the cellar, winemaking remains deliberately low-intervention in order to preserve the identity of each terroir. Ageing is carried out with precision and restraint, focusing on energy, finesse and fruit purity. The wines stand out for their freshness, mineral tension and natural elegance, offering a sincere and vibrant interpretation of Burgundy’s great terroirs.
