Famille Richaud is based in Cairanne, in the heart of the Southern Rhône Valley, where the family has been crafting wines for several generations that have become emblematic of the appellation. Founded by Marcel Richaud, a key figure in the quality revival of Cairanne from the 1970s onward, the estate is now run by his children Claire, Thomas and Édith Richaud, who continue this demanding and deeply terroir-driven vision. The vineyard now covers nearly 80 hectares across Cairanne and Rasteau.
The estate has established itself as one of the leading references of the Southern Rhône thanks to its pioneering approach to organic farming and low-intervention winemaking. Certified Organic since 2008, the vineyard is managed without chemical herbicides, with manual harvesting and close attention paid to the natural balance of each parcel.
The wines of Famille Richaud stand out for their intensity, freshness and remarkable finesse for Southern Rhône wines. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and old-vine Carignan produce deep and vibrant cuvées marked by notes of black fruit, spices and garrigue, combined with an elegant texture and beautiful balance.
