Domaine Huguenot
Domaine Huguenot
In Marsannay, where the Côte de Nuits begins to rise toward the north, Domaine Huguenot tells a story of family, patience, and deep loyalty to the land. For more than ten generations, the Huguenot family has farmed these northern slopes with a simple philosophy: let the place speak first.
Today, Jean-Christophe Huguenot oversees around 23 hectares of vineyards, spread across Marsannay, Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin. This diverse patchwork of climats allows the estate to explore the many nuances of this still somewhat under-the-radar corner of the Côte de Nuits.
The Huguenot family has been established in Marsannay since the 17th century. Long before the appellation gained the recognition it enjoys today, they were already cultivating these hillsides, witnessing, and contributing to, the gradual rise of a terroir that long remained in the shadow of its famous neighbours.
The wines reflect this origin with honesty: energy, freshness and structure, carried by a clear sense of place. Authentic Burgundy, unadorned, yet full of character.
