Domaine Yann Chave
Located in Crozes-Hermitage, in the heart of the Northern Rhône Valley, Domaine Yann Chave has gradually established itself as a benchmark estate within the appellation. Founded in the 1970s by Nicole and Bernard Chave, the domaine entered a new phase in 1996 when their son Yann took over, initiating a conversion to organic farming in the early 2000s.
Today, the vineyard covers around 20 hectares spread across diverse soil types, allowing for a full expression of Syrah, the emblematic grape of the region, as well as the white varieties Marsanne and Roussanne. This mosaic of terroirs brings nuance, depth and complexity to the estate’s different cuvées.
Among the key wines are a Crozes-Hermitage red of remarkable purity, the “Le Rouvre” cuvée made from old vines, and a very limited production of Hermitage.
Committed to preserving the identity of each parcel, Yann Chave favours precise and restrained winemaking. His wines are direct, elegant and authentic, deeply rooted in their terroir of origin.
