La Petite Perdrane
La Petite Perdrane
Domaine de la Perdrane is nestled between the Cévennes mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, in a landscape where maritime influences and the freshness of the surrounding hills shape wines of remarkable balance. The estate takes its name from the medieval village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an important stop along the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route. This connection to a place rich in history gives the domaine a deeply rooted identity.
The vineyard is planted on clay-limestone and schist soils particularly suited to Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Vermentino. Thanks to the temperature variations and natural influences of the surrounding landscape, the grapes retain freshness and aromatic intensity while achieving excellent ripeness. The estate follows a sustainable approach to viticulture with careful soil management and strong attention paid to biodiversity and the natural balance of the vineyard.
In the cellar, winemaking focuses on gentle extraction and long fermentations in order to preserve fruit purity and terroir expression. The wines stand out for their freshness, aromatic depth and notes of ripe fruit, spices and garrigue, offering a sincere and elegant expression of the Languedoc.
