Domaine Sylvaine Et Alain Normand

Domaine Sylvaine Et Alain Normand

Based in La Roche-Vineuse, Domaine Sylvaine & Alain Normand has been built with consistency and restraint, away from overly demonstrative approaches. Taken over by Alain Normand in 1993, and later developed alongside Sylvaine from 2010, the estate has expanded step by step through the integration of family vineyards. This measured growth gives the domaine a solid foundation today, while preserving the identity of a property deeply rooted in the Mâconnais.

With nearly 35 hectares spread across several villages, the estate stands out for its uncommon scale in the region, used to explore a broad and nuanced range of southern Burgundy terroirs. Where such diversity might lead to dispersion, Sylvaine and Alain Normand instead maintain a clear and consistent line across appellations such as Mâcon La Roche-Vineuse, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé. This ability to combine scale, diversity and coherence is a defining feature of the domaine.

Another point of distinction lies in its evolving commitment, with organic certification alongside complementary initiatives such as Terra Vitis and HVE. Beyond certification, these choices reflect a structured and forward-looking approach, grounded in long-term thinking. The result is a range of wines that combine consistency, clarity and a faithful expression of their origins.
