In Gevrey-Chambertin, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine des Chambris represents a new generation of Burgundy winemakers. Founded by brothers Pierre and Louis-Maurice Lignier, from a well-known winemaking family in Morey-Saint-Denis, the estate now farms around 6.5 hectares of vineyards across Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny.
The domaine was created from the brothers’ desire to develop their own identity alongside the family estate, with a more exploratory and forward-thinking approach to viticulture and winemaking.
From the outset, they chose to farm their vineyards under organic practices, with careful soil management and minimal intervention in the cellar to preserve the purity of Pinot Noir.
The wines stand out for their energy, precision and finely etched structure, offering a modern and vibrant interpretation of the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
