Located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Domaine Philippe Girard is a family estate of around 10 hectares, with vineyards mainly spread across Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. For several generations, the Girard family has cultivated these emblematic parcels of the Côte de Beaune, focusing on expressing the true character of each terroir.
One anecdote perfectly reflects the spirit of the estate: Philippe Girard long combined his work as a winegrower with that of a cooper, working directly with the wood used for barrels. This dual expertise gave him a particularly refined understanding of oak ageing, resulting in a style where the use of wood is always subtle and perfectly integrated.
