Rijckaert Rouve
Based in Davayé, at the gateway to the Mâconnais, Domaine Rijckaert Rouve holds a distinctive position within the Burgundy landscape. Founded in 1998 by Jean Rijckaert, initially with just 4 hectares, the estate was taken over in 2013 by Florent Rouve, who continues to shape its development with a clear sense of continuity. One of its defining features is its dual presence in both southern Burgundy and the Jura, an uncommon configuration that gives the domaine a unique identity.
The vineyard now covers around 9 hectares, divided between the Mâconnais and the Jura, complemented by a small-scale négociant activity. This structure allows the domaine to offer a highly personal interpretation of eastern France’s great white wine regions, with appellations such as Viré-Clessé, Mâcon-Villages, Pouilly-Fuissé, Arbois and Côtes du Jura. More than its geography alone, what sets Rijckaert Rouve apart is its ability to bridge these two terroir cultures while maintaining a clear and consistent stylistic line.
The wines are defined by their clarity, tension and sense of restraint, allowing the character of each origin to emerge with precision. Florent Rouve continues a style long recognized for the purity and energy of its whites, balancing Burgundian finesse with a subtle Jura influence. This position at the crossroads of two regions, combined with a coherent and understated approach, gives Domaine Rijckaert Rouve a truly distinctive profile.
