Chateau Haut Lignieres
Chateau Haut Lignieres
Château Haut-Lignières is a family estate located on the heights of Faugères, in the heart of the Languedoc, surrounded by the appellation’s emblematic schist hillsides. The domaine is now managed by the Dardé family, who continue with passion and precision the work carried out over several generations. The vineyard covers around 35 hectares across some of the finest terroirs of Faugères.
The parcels are planted on highly draining schist soils capable of retaining and releasing heat throughout the day while preserving freshness at night. This unique geology, combined with Mediterranean influences and altitude-driven microclimates, allows the estate to produce wines that combine concentration, elegance and remarkable mineral tension. The domaine favours manual harvesting and precise parcel-by-parcel vinification in order to fully express the identity of each terroir.
The red wines, mainly crafted from Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, reveal notes of black fruits, spices and garrigue, supported by refined structure and depth. The whites and rosés stand out for their freshness, aromatic brightness and balance. Thanks to rigorous work both in the vineyard and the cellar, Château Haut-Lignières has become one of the benchmark estates of the Faugères appellation.
