In the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, in Jonquières in the Hérault, Le Clos du Lucquier is above all a family story. For several generations, the family has cultivated these lands at the foot of Mont Baudile, between Montpeyroux, Saint-Saturnin and Aniane. In 2001, Nicole and Claude Panis took over the property with the ambition of producing their own wines. Their first vintage was released in 2004.

The estate spans 15 hectares of vineyards, planted on clay-limestone terraces scattered with stones from the surrounding limestone hills. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault form the core of the red grape varieties, complemented by several white varieties. The influence of the Larzac foothills and significant day-to-night temperature variations combine Mediterranean ripeness with freshness and balance.

Certified High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3, the estate follows a thoughtful approach to sustainable viticulture. In the cellar, winemaking and ageing are tailored to each cuvée to preserve the expression of both fruit and terroir. Le Clos du Lucquier produces generous yet elegant wines, where ripe fruit, spice and garrigue meet the distinctive freshness of the Terrasses du Larzac.
