Domaine Denis Fouquerand
Domaine Denis Fouquerand
In La Rochepot, in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, the Fouquerand family has been rooted for centuries. Family history recounts that their ancestors were freed in 1629 by Charles d’Augermes, Marquis de Fargis and lord of the village, marking the beginning of a long-standing connection to these vineyard lands.
The estate truly expanded in the 1970s, when Denis Fouquerand gradually developed the domaine. Today, the vineyard covers around 18 hectares of high-altitude vines around La Rochepot, an area whose cooler conditions bring freshness and elegance to the wines.
In 2008, his son Laurent Fouquerand took over the estate. Committed to preserving this family heritage, he converted the vineyard to organic farming, obtaining official organic certification in 2013.
