The Rhône Valley vineyard, split between northern and southern sections, covers around 71,000 hectares. The main grape varieties are Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, and Marsanne. Annual production is about 3 million hectoliters, with 60% reds, 30% whites, and 10% rosés. The diverse soils and Mediterranean climate produce powerful wines, including Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côte-Rôtie.
