Domaine Mazilly Pere Et Fils
Domaine Mazilly Pere Et Fils
Located in Meloisey, a historic village of the Côte de Beaune whose wines were reportedly served at the coronation of King Philip Augustus in 1180, Domaine Mazilly Père et Fils is a family estate that has been passed down since 1948.
After Pierre Mazilly, Frédéric Mazilly expanded the estate from 1977 onwards, before being joined by his son Aymeric Mazilly, who now runs the domaine. Today the vineyard covers 19 hectares, spread across several renowned Burgundy appellations including Pommard, Volnay, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Gevrey-Chambertin and Meursault.
A distinctive feature of the estate lies in Aymeric Mazilly’s initiative: in 2004 he founded Maison Aymeric Mazilly, a separate structure dedicated to crafting great white wines from the Côte de Beaune. This dual activity allows him to explore Burgundy’s terroirs more broadly while preserving the family heritage of the domaine.
