Domaine Marchand Freres
Domaine Marchand Freres
In Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Marchand is one of those estates that moves quietly yet carries deep roots in the Côte de Nuits. The Marchand family has been cultivating vines here for generations, developing a close, almost intuitive understanding of the village’s hillsides.
Today the estate farms around 12 hectares of vineyards, spread across Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits-Saint-Georges, including several Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites.
One interesting feature of the domaine is the diversity of its parcels, often located on very different climats that can lie just a few hundred meters apart. This close proximity, combined with variations in soil and exposure, offers a fascinating illustration of how each vineyard site can express a distinct character.
In the glass, the wines reflect this mosaic of terroirs: elegant, precise and nuanced, with the quiet depth that often defines the wines of Morey-Saint-Denis.
