Presentation
Inspired by the historic Parisian district of La Villette, Maison de La Villette brings together expressive French wines that combine varietal character, elegance and a distinctive French identity.
Since 2019, Maison de La Villette wines have been crafted under the guidance of winemaker Pauline Pinto-Delas. Pauline is a talented young female winemaker who has built her experience in the South of France, a region renowned for the diversity of its grape varieties and terroirs. Drawing on her deep knowledge of French vineyards and grape varieties, she selects the origins and defines the winemaking approach for each wine, with the aim of creating expressive, balanced and distinctly French wines.
Terroir
Cooler sloping vineyards located on the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the South-Western France, blended with grapes originating from coastal Mediterranean places.
Winemaking
10 to 12 day fermentation with both French and American oak is followed by a soft 6 month maturation on the wine’s natural lies. Only 50% of the final blend completes malolactic fermentation, which allows to keep some natural acidity. An early bottling allows to capture freshness and primary flavors.
Varietal
Chardonnay
