Domaine des Héritiers Renaud
Situated in Pouilly, in the Mâconnais, at the foot of the Roche de Solutré, Domaine des Héritiers Renaud stands among the recognized names of southern Burgundy. Founded in 1927, the estate now cultivates around 20 hectares of vineyards spread across several benchmark terroirs, with a strong focus on Chardonnay. Rooted in clay-limestone and limestone soils, the domaine expresses with precision the full diversity and finesse characteristic of the great white wines of the Mâconnais.
The range is built around key appellations, notably Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon. Beyond the diversity of its vineyard holdings, the estate is defined above all by the style of its wines: precise and luminous cuvées, driven by freshness, refined texture and a clear mineral expression. The balance is exact, with wines that combine tension, aromatic purity and depth, in a style that is both approachable and demanding.
In line with this pursuit of quality, the work carried out in both vineyard and cellar relies on carefully considered choices tailored to each cuvée. Some wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, others in large oak casks or demi-muids, an approach that preserves tension, freshness and the expression of Chardonnay without allowing oak to dominate. This constant search for balance and precision results in wines that remain true to the elegance and identity of the Mâconnais terroirs.
