Presentation

Located in Beaumes-de-Venise, Domaine De Fenouillet is renowned for its expertise in the production of Muscats and characterful red wines. This family estate, cultivating its vines organically, highlights ancestral know-how combined with modern techniques. The reds, made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, display beautiful intensity, with notes of black fruits, spices, and balanced tannic structure. The estate's Muscats, emblematic of the region, reveal an exuberant aromatic palette, between candied citrus and honey, with great freshness on the palate. An essential estate for discovering the richness of southern Rhône wines.

Terroir

The vineyards are planted on sandy soils from the Miocene era, typical of the Beaumes-de-Venise region. These soils contribute finesse, aromatic purity, and excellent drainage, ideal for producing expressive white wines.

In the vineyard

The estate is certified organic. Vineyard work is carried out with respect for biodiversity and soil health, using minimal intervention to preserve the natural balance of the environment.

Harvest

Grapes are harvested manually at optimal ripeness to ensure freshness and full aromatic potential.

Winemaking

Key stages from harvest to bottling include gentle pressing, destemming, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in tanks or barrels, yeast inoculation, and precise temperature control. These steps are carefully managed to preserve the wine’s balance, texture, and aromatic complexity.

Ageing

Ageing takes place in a combination of large oak vats (foudres), barrels, and egg-shaped concrete tanks. This diversity of vessels allows for a nuanced evolution of the wine’s structure and aromatic depth.
