Presentation
A very fruity and smooth Gamay.
Terroir
This wine is a blend of two different areas: the first part of the grapes comes from the Beaujolais region, whose granitic soils give a fruity, rich and powerful expression of the varietal; the other part hails from tertiary sedimentary and alluvial soils (Garonne river’s former bed) in the area of Comté Tolosan PGI (in the south-west of France).
Winemaking
Producted with small yields and harvested by hand, the grapes are vinified in whole bunches, in the traditional way of Beaujolais. The wine will partially ripen in oak barrels.
Varietal
Gamay
Tasting
Garnet-red color with purple hints. Nice aromas of red (raspberry, strawberry) and black fruits (cherry) and floral notes (peony). In the finish a light touch of spices and liquorice. The palate is round, pleasant and fresh. Served fresh (16°C), this wine is all the more fruity and smooth.
