Presentation

Located in Vergisson, in the heart of the Grand Site naturel des Deux Roches, Domaine Guerrin et Fils is a family estate founded in 1926. The Guerrin family has revealed exceptional terroirs such as La Maréchaude and Les Crays, now recognized under the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. With a mosaic of 35 small parcels spread over 14 hectares, the estate benefits from a rare geological diversity, mainly on limestone soils that favor elegant and expressive whites. Cultivating Chardonnay with respect for the terroir, the estate favors meticulous manual work and careful vinification. The wines stand out for their beautiful minerality, rich aromatic palette, and remarkable tension on the palate. A characterful estate that perpetuates the tradition of great whites from Mâconnais.

Terroir

The “Vieilles Vignes” cuvée comes from a blend of three terroirs of similar profile. All from old vines at least 40 years of age, these terroirs are varied but share the same hallmark: their belonging to the Vergisson area. They are often limestone-based and produce wines of great balance, thanks to their higher altitude compared to the average in Pouilly-Fuissé.

Harvest

Hand-picked.

Ageing

After the manual harvest, the juice is gently extracted using a pneumatic press. Vinification takes place in oak barrels (1 to 5 years old), with 15% new oak. A maturation of 10 to 12 months allows the wines to slowly refine.

Tasting

This Pouilly-Fuissé is crisp, round, and supple. Its delicate aromas of white-fleshed fruits blend harmoniously with the softness of white floral notes. On the palate, it stands out with richness and smoothness, while buttery and brioche undertones highlight the wine’s full indulgence.

Food pairings

A perfect match with fish, white meats, or goat cheese, but also delightful enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
