The Hubert BOUZEREAU-GRUÈRE & Filles estate is a family-run operation, stemming from two old winemaking families, originating from Meursault for Hubert BOUZEREAU and from Chassagne-Montrachet for Marie-France GRUÈRE. Hubert BOUZEREAU is the 7th generation of winemakers in the family and it was in 1970 that he established his own estate with his wife Marie-France. Since 2001, two of their daughters, Marie-Laure and Marie-Anne, have joined them and created the Domaine Hubert BOUZEREAU-GRUÈRE &

Location

This plot "Les Houillères" is located on the border of Chassagne-Montrachet.

Terroir

Clayey and limestone soil.

Harvest

The grape harvest is done by hand.

Winemaking

Pneumatic pressing, settling, alcoholic fermentation without added yeast, malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

Aged in oak barrels with 30% new barrels. Aging on lees for one year with regular stirring.

Tasting

Lots of freshness and finesse, nose expressing acacia, hazelnuts, roasted almond, vanilla, and white pepper. Wine with good typicity and good aging potential.

Sole fillet with tarragon butter, Bresse poultry with a lightly creamed sauce, sweetbread with white truffle.
