Presentation

Our Domaine is a family estate located in Meloisey (a village with a wine-growing vocation for centuries, as it is said that Meloisey wine was served at the coronation of Philippe-Auguste in 1180) in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune for several generations. Until 1948, the estate was owned by the Thevenot family. Through his marriage to the family's only daughter, Mr. Mazilly became its successor and Pierre Mazilly developed the estate. After studying at the Beaune wine school, Frédéric Mazilly, Pierre's son, returned to work on the estate in 1977. Over the generations, the succession continues, and the estate expands with new plots. Ay

Tasting

A garnet dress, aromas of black fruits, blackcurrant, blackberry on grilled and spicy notes. Distinguished, powerful, ample mouth, fine and round tannins, long persistence.

Food pairings

With its deep cherry red dress with garnet reflections, and its bouquet marked by small black and red fruits, this wine pairs perfectly with roasted or grilled red meats, such as a beef fillet or a duck breast with red fruits. Stewed dishes, like a coq au vin or a beef bourguignon, will highlight the roundness and volume of the wine. Refined cheeses, such as an Epoisses or a Brie de Meaux, will beautifully accompany its fruity and spicy notes. To finish on a sweet note, a dessert with black fruits, such as a blueberry pie, will bring a nice complementarity with the cherry and raspberry aromas of the wine.
