A jewel of Meursault, Domaine Albert Grivault is especially renowned for its legendary parcel “Clos des Perrières” considered one of the finest climats in the appellation. The estate is a must for lovers of great white Burgundy. Vineyard work is rigorous, ensuring grapes of the highest quality. In the cellar, vinification is meticulous, with barrel aging that enhances Chardonnay’s natural finesse without overpowering it. The wines are rich and layered, combining floral and white fruit aromas with signature Meursault minerality. Location
This “Perrières” cuvée is composed of two parcels totaling 1.5459 hectares. Domaine Albert Grivault is the largest landholder in this Premier Cru appellation, which spans 13 hectares and is shared by 28 owners. The slope faces south/southwest.
Terroir
The soil is equally composed of brown limestone clay, silt, and sand. In 2019, the average vine age was 35 years. Annual production averages around 9,300 bottles over 20 years. The wine is a frequent award winner at events like the Tastevinage and the Vinalies Nationales. The 2015 vintage was awarded “Major” of the 101st Tastevinage at Clos de Vougeot.

This Meursault Premier Cru "Perrières" shines with a brilliant, limpid golden hue. The bouquet expresses ripe Chardonnay, sun-kissed and deeply influenced by its terroir, with aromas of hawthorn, apricot, lemon, and exotic fruits like mango and papaya. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, long, and structured, with a silky texture revealing notes of fresh hazelnut and honey, leading to a distinctive finish marked by mirabelle plum.
