Presentation
Domaine Machard de Gramont is a family estate located in Prissey, near Nuits-Saint-Georges. Founded in the 19th century, it is now managed by Arnaud Machard de Gramont and his two sons, Alban and Alexis. The estate is distinguished by its impressive vaulted cellars, giving a "cathedral" effect conducive to wine aging. The vineyard covers 20 hectares and stretches over more than 50 km, from Chenôve to Puligny-Montrachet, offering a patchwork of exceptional terroirs. It produces flagship Burgundy appellations such as Aloxe-Corton, Chorey-les-Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard, and Savigny-les-Beaune. Vinification relies on long fermentations and aging in oak barrels, combining tradition and finesse. Its particularity: a commitment to sincere terroir wines, with meticulous biodynamic work and a respectful approach to the soils.

Tasting
This Puligny-Montrachet Les Houlières from Domaine Machard de Gramont offers a crystalline expression of Chardonnay. The nose opens with white flowers, ripe citrus and a hint of toasted hazelnut. On the palate, the wine is sharp and vibrant, with a saline edge and a precise, linear texture. The finish is long and mineral, clearly echoing the limestone terroir of this renowned village site. A wine of balance, finesse and character.
Food pairings
The freshness and finesse of this Puligny-Montrachet call for subtle, refined pairings. It will shine alongside citrus-marinated sea bream ceviche, sole meunière, or a white asparagus risotto. For a more gourmet match, try it with Bresse chicken in cream sauce or seared scallops with lemon butter. Avoid overly spicy or robust dishes that could overpower its delicate balance.
