Tasting
The Pouilly-Loché “Les Mûres” from Domaine Trouillet delivers the full aromatic expression of Chardonnay from the clay-limestone soils of southern Burgundy. The wine displays a clear, brilliant pale gold color. The nose is generous, with ripe white fruits (pear, peach), candied citrus, and spring flowers, enhanced by subtle toasty and buttery notes. On the palate, the attack is smooth and ample, lifted by a vibrant freshness. The balance between roundness and mineral tension creates great harmony, with an elegant, lingering finish.
Food pairings
This structured and charming white wine pairs beautifully with sauced fish dishes, shellfish, creamy poultry, or vegetable gratins with Comté cheese. It also goes well with aged soft cheeses like Reblochon or Saint-Nectaire. Serve between 11 and 13°C.
