Terroir

The white Château de Nalys is the result of a precise blend from three emblematic terroirs of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The La Crau plateau, with its iconic rolled pebbles, brings power and structure. The Bois Sénéchal, on ancient alluvial soils, gives depth and balance. Finally, the Nalys terroir, composed of red sandstone from Comtat and saffres, signs the aromatic finesse of the wine. This rare and precious geological diversity magnifies each grape variety in an expression that is both complex and harmonious.

Harvest

The grape harvest is done by hand, with a meticulous sorting of the grapes in the vineyard.

Winemaking

After a delicate pressing, the musts are clarified before vinification, partly in wood (70%) and in stainless steel tanks (30%), according to the profile of each grape variety.

Ageing

The 8-month aging process follows the same distribution: 70% in barrels and demi-muids to bring texture and complexity, 30% in tanks to preserve freshness. This dual approach results in a refined, balanced wine with great aromatic depth.

Tasting

From the very first glance, the clear and shiny golden yellow dress evokes the nobility of the vintage. The nose seduces with its floral intensity, with nuances of white flowers, ripe citrus fruits, and a delicately vanilla touch. On the palate, the breadth is impressive: generous texture, mastered balance, and a beautiful persistence on notes of white fruits and sweet spices. A gastronomic white wine, both powerful, refined, and remarkably elegant. Already remarkable in its youth for its aromatic richness and silky texture, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape white will evolve elegantly over 8 to 10 years. It will then develop notes of honey, dried fruits, and dried flowers, typical of great aged white wines from the southern Rhône region.

Food pairings

This great white Châteauneuf-du-Pape calls for a subtle and flavorful cuisine. It reveals all its potential alongside a vol-au-vent of chicken in cream, a perfectly golden meunière sole, or a sea bass in salt crust.
