Domaine Bergeron is a family-run winery located in Émeringes, between Fleurie and Juliénas, in the Beaujolais region. Established over 85 years ago, the estate has been managed by the Bergeron family for four generations. The vineyard spans 27 hectares and produces a variety of Beaujolais crus, as well as Beaujolais-Émeringes wines. The domaine follows sustainable farming practices and is certified High Environmental Value (HVE). All grapes are hand-harvested, ensuring optimal fruit quality. The range includes red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines, with notable crus such as Chénas, Morgon, Juliénas, Moulin-à-Vent, and Saint-Amour. As a member of the Vignerons Indépendants (Independent Winemakers of France), the estate upholds a strong commitment to authentic, environmentally respectful viticulture.

Location

The Saint-Amour appellation takes its name from the commune where the vineyard is located: Saint-Amour-Bellevue, at the northern gateway of the Beaujolais wine route.

Terroir

In the south, the gently rounded hills are primarily composed of clay soils, sometimes with limestone. In the north, the soils are mostly sandy and granitic in origin.

Aged for 6 months in tanks.

Tasting

A classic Beaujolais with a bright ruby red color and aromas of red berries, floral peony, and subtle spicy hints. On the palate, it is balanced and generous with a lovely freshness. The tannins are velvety and the finish is persistent.

Food pairings

This wine pairs wonderfully with pork, poultry, veal, and aged cheeses. It also complements pasta dishes and mushroom-based recipes.
