Domaine Jean Chartron
Domaine Jean Chartron
In the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Jean Chartron embodies the village’s winemaking heritage since the mid-19th century. Founded in 1859 by Jean-Édouard Dupard, the estate later passed into the hands of the Chartron family, who played a major role in its development and reputation.
Today, the vineyard extends across several prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune, including Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault and Rully, offering a wide diversity of terroirs. The estate also stands out for holding several monopoly vineyards, a rare situation in Burgundy that allows certain climats to be expressed in a unique and exclusive way.
The wines reveal the precision, balance and elegance of the great limestone terroirs of the Côte de Beaune, with cuvées that are luminous, refined and beautifully structured, true to the classic style of Puligny-Montrachet.
