Domaine Marcel Couturier
Domaine Marcel Couturier
Based in Fuissé, in the heart of the Mâconnais, the estate founded by Marcel Couturier released its first vintage in 2005. Since then, it has been patiently and thoughtfully developed, gradually expanding its holdings to encompass a range of parcels across the key appellations of the southern Mâconnais, including the confidential Pouilly-Loché, the smallest communal appellation in southern Burgundy.
Deeply connected to its natural environment, the estate has always maintained a close relationship with biodiversity, which has guided its vineyard practices from the outset. This commitment was further strengthened with the arrival of Auxence in 2018, marking a new chapter in the estate’s evolution—first through conversion to organic farming, followed by the adoption of biodynamic principles from 2019 onwards.
This demanding and coherent approach gives the estate a distinctive identity within the Mâconnais. Through precise, vibrant wines that are deeply rooted in their terroir, it offers a sensitive and contemporary expression of the great white wines of southern Burgundy.
