Presentation

True second wine, La Parde Haut-Bailly, now known as Haut-Bailly.II since the 2018 vintage, has been produced since 1967, using the same vineyard plots as its elder sibling. It is the result of an equally meticulous selection process and is vinified with the same expertise. It reflects all the pleasure and finesse characteristic of Château Haut-Bailly. Delicious and approachable, it can be enjoyed as early as 5 years after bottling.

Terroir

Located at the gates of Bordeaux, the Château Haut-Bailly, a Grand Cru Classé, majestically overlooks a 30-hectare vineyard established on one of the highest ridges of gravel on the left bank. It benefits from an excellent slope of the hillsides, effective drainage, and well-distributed ditches that ensure water flow in wet years. Of the three components of the terroir, the soil is the most subtle: here, it combines a soil of mixed sands with quaternary gravels and a subsoil of faluns, or petrification of fossilized stones, which are one of its major characteristics.

Winemaking

The selected lots for its blend give it a fruity freshness combined with an elegant and suave structure.

Tasting

In all its smoothness, Haut-Bailly•II 2025 seduces with its greediness and balance. The tannins, delicate and finely integrated, carry a generous wine, with expressive fruit. This "N°II", another expression of the terroir of Haut-Bailly, is a promise of pleasure from a young age.
