Château Teynac & Corconnac

The Teynac vineyard is situated on the finest gravelly hillsides of Saint-Julien, on the soils of Beychevelle, nestled among the Grands Crus Classés that account for 90% of the appellation’s total area. The 1874 third edition of *Bordeaux and Its Wines* states: “Château Teynac, ranked among the second and fourth growths in the official 1834 classification.” In 1990, it became the property of the Pairault family, along with Château Corconnac.
Traditional viticultural methods, sustainable pest management, hand-harvesting with sorting, careful and meticulous vinification, and aging in French oak barrels give Château Teynac wines rich in color and fine tannins, which have earned it numerous awards. At Teynac, it is respect for the raw material that gives the wines both finesse and power, as is fitting for Saint-Julien.
