Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, or “GPL” as the British call it, is one of the historic great names of Pauillac, classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855.
The name of the estate reflects its identity: “Grand-Puy” refers to the hill, the highest point of the vineyard, and “Lacoste” was the owner at the time of the classification. This origin captures the spirit of the château: a deep respect for terroir and a constant commitment to the elegance of the great wines of the Médoc.
