Presentation
The wines of Château Petit-Village, supple, powerful, and harmonious, possess the richness and incomparable finesse of the great Pomerol wines.
The vintage
Located on one of the two highest points of the appellation, Château Petit-Village reveals itself and asserts itself in 2025. It unveils all the sensuality born from its clays. The old Merlots enchant with their bright aromas, where cherry is adorned with notes of rose and violet. The blend offers a creamy and voluptuous texture, supported by the Cabernets Franc and Sauvignons, intimately mixed in the plots, which extend the mid-palate with vibrancy.
Terroir
Château Le Petit-Village is located in the heart of Pomerol, on a beautiful clay-gravel plateau. It is a single vineyard of 10.5 hectares that forms a triangle. Its terroir is composed of deep gravels coated with light and sandy clays on a subsoil of alios called iron dirt, characteristics of the great wines of Pomerol. Each terroir always corresponds to a faithful grape variety. At Château Petit-Village, each plot, with its personality, is planted with the suitable grape variety. Merlot dominates the property (75%): it constitutes the flesh of the wine and gives it its velvety texture, roundness, and generosity. Cabernet Franc (18%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) are also added, grape varieties essential for the structure and complexity.
