Presentation
The Château Troplong Mondot has created a unique universe that goes beyond the vine and the wine. With its breathtaking view of Saint-Emilion, the property brings together in one place at the heart of the vineyard, fine dining, accommodation, and tours, as an invitation to live an unforgettable experience in an extraordinary setting. The boundaries of the vineyard are essentially the same as they were when it was created in 1700. Aware of having received nature's most beautiful gift, its successive owners have continuously sought to enhance this heritage.
Terroir
A thick limestone rock beneath the layer of clay and the water table present in the subsoil combine to ensure the old vines of Troplong Mondot (35 years old on average, the oldest being in their nineties) with this limited fertility necessary for great wines. To this clay-limestone soil, typical of the hillside wines of Saint-Emilion, are added sedimentary fragments of flint and limestone. It is perhaps this original component that can be credited for the splendid color and the beautiful concentration of this wine. The grape varieties are 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting
The Troplong Mondot 2025 is one of the flagship wines of the vintage [...] it will compete with the 2022, even if, in terms of character, these two vintages are very different." - Wine Advocate.
