Terroir
Armailhac Castle is located in the northern part of the town of Pauillac. It covers 69 hectares of vineyards. Three groups of plots make up Armailhac Castle: The Levantines and Obelisk plateau (26 hectares). An extension of the famous Carruades de Mouton plateau, it is made up of light and very deep gravel. A preferred terroir for Cabernets. The Pibran plateau (19 hectares). Its gravel rests on a subsoil, partly clay-limestone, giving the finesse and elegance characteristic of Armailhac wines. The Béhéré ridge (5 hectares). Light gravels but can go down to a depth of 3 meters.

Tasting
Château d’Armailhac 2025 is a very complete wine that combines restrained power, great elegance, and a wide aromatic palette ranging from fresh fruits like redcurrant with its tangy side, to ripe black fruits like blackberry, and even some lemony notes. With a beautiful length, it stretches in the mouth while keeping a lot of freshness and does not present the solar character that the climatology of the vintage could have suggested. Its personality reflects its Pauillac identity in this vintage which particularly expresses the richness of the diversity of its terroirs.
