Presentation
Château Mayne-Vieil is a 100 % merlot wine and the vineyard has famous neighbours like Pomerol and Saint-Emilion (five miles away both).
In the vineyard
High density vineyard to produce quality grapes. The yields are limited thanks to permanent grassing and green harvesting in August. The whole vineyard has the leaves blown off on one side to allow an optimal ripeness of the grapes.
Winemaking
Traditional Bordeaux style. Three-week maceration in temperature-controlled tanks.
Ageing
20% aged in recent barrels for one year.

Tasting
Color: very good intensity, bright hue, fresh
Nose: notes of candied red berries and spices
Palate: soft attack, very good length with a toasted finish
