Presentation
This is the descendant of the two prestigious white wines from Domaine Clarence Dillon: Château Haut-Brion Blanc and Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc. This second white wine is rare and exceptional, both for its very limited production and its composition.
Terroir
The vineyard covers 51 hectares, with 48 hectares planted with red grape varieties. The terroir of Haut-Brion, formed by two significant ridges of Gunzian gravel - the Gunz is a glacial period of the Quaternary era - rises 12 to 15 meters above the bottoms of neighboring watercourses. These gravels are small stones, made up of different varieties of quartz: true gemstones of the terroir of Château Haut-Brion. The Peugue stream to the north and the Serpent stream to the south delineate this vast gravelly terrace, named Haut Brion, which can be found on old maps of the region or in notarial deeds, as early as the beginning of the 15th century. The subsoil is clay-sandy in nature.

Tasting
Nice pale yellow color, with green reflections. A slightly smoky first nose, with appealing fruitiness, notes of peach, passion fruit, and a hint of apricot. The attack is fresh and precise, and the wine offers graceful floral notes. The mouth is sweet and smooth, with citrus and lychee notes. The wine has a good length, with a slight salinity in the finish: it is a beautiful Clarté de Haut-Brion, aromatic and very balanced.
