Haut Batailley 2025 Packshot Haut Batailley25

Château Haut-Batailley 2025

The 2025 vintage is among the earliest since 1989.

Terroir

The uniqueness of the terroir of Haut-Batailley comes from its location to the South of the Pauillac appellation, on the border of Saint-Julien. The influence of this proximity is felt in this growth, where one finds grace, charm, and delicacy, synonymous with a femininity often less marked in the wines of Pauillac. This harmonious complexity gives this wine character and a lot of personality.

Harvest

The harvest took place according to an advanced schedule, from September 8th to 18th. This vintage 2025 reveals concentrated wines, based on preserved balances between sugars and acids, reflecting mature ripeness and a precise expression of the fruit. It already shows signs of a great vintage, hinting at wines with a beautiful aging potential.

Winemaking

A first sorting is done in the vineyard. A second, then a third sorting take place, before and after destemming. The macerations take place over three weeks, at the pace of successive pumping over and rack and returns. Once drained, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation in tanks and are aged in barrels.

Ageing

16 months in French oak barrels (55% new wood).

‘‘Château Haut-Batailley 2025 displays a dense, vibrant garnet colour. The elegant, precise nose reveals aromas of spice and red fruit. The blend, dominated by perfectly ripe Cabernets, brings a harmonious tannic structure and fine concentration. The palate retains freshness and finesse through to the finish. A wine built for ageing, in the lineage of great vintages.’’ Julien Galland, Technical Manager
