Presentation
The style of Gazin wines, which is very representative of the Pomerol appellation, is mainly based on finesse. Feminine, charming, due to the dominance of Merlot, the wines of Château Gazin are pleasantly enjoyed after a few years of aging.
Terroir
The vineyard of Château Gazin covers an area of 26 hectares in one piece located on the high terrace of the Pomerol terroir. The terroir of Château Gazin is composed of günzian gravel on the surface and includes, in the subsoil, blue and green clays including iron oxides (iron crust). These clays (smectites) allow a regular and moderate supply of water to the vine, a characteristic of great terroirs. The clay-gravel subsoil of the Pomerol plateau makes up the majority of the Château Gazin terroir. The vineyard is composed of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 35 years.

Manual harvesting was carried out according to the ripeness of the grapes: Merlots: from August 28th to September 10th, 2025 Cabernet Franc: September 15th, 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon: September 19th, 2024.
