Presentation
“French Cellars” is a range of wines selected by “Private Collection” for the quality of their blends and the diversity of their grape varieties. These wines are made in the south of France by two winemakers trained in Australia.
Terroir
Our Grenache and Shiraz grape varieties come from low-yield mountain vineyards located in the south of France, on slopes between the Pyrenees and the Cévennes. As for our Mourvèdre, it comes from cooler maritime vineyards along the Mediterranean coast.
Winemaking
The three grape varieties are vinified in a traditional way, with a long maceration in French and American oak barrels. A small part of the Mourvèdre is fermented with whole clusters to intensify the fruity aromas. The wines are then aged separately for about 6 months. The final blend is carefully crafted by our winemaker to achieve a rich, balanced, and fruity wine, which completes its maturation with a light oak influence for a few additional months.
