Presentation
Santenay, southernmost gem of the Côte de Beaune is renowned not only for its superb wines but also for its healing thermal waters. In this unique terroir, white wines make up a mere 5% of Santenay's production, making our Santenay Blanc a true rarity. The diverse soils of the region, ranging from limestone to marl and clay, impart a distinct character and complexity to the wine. This mosaic of terroirs contributes to the wine's refined minerality and vibrant freshness, capturing the essence of Santenay's rich landscape.
Terroir
This cuvée comes from a parcel of Santenay enclosed within the territory of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, located just below the Premier Cru Morgeot appellation. The soils are deep and rich in hard limestone and red clay. The south-east exposure of the vines is ideal for good grape ripening.
Winemaking
The grapes were hand-picked at full maturity and carefully sorted to retain only the finest bunches. After gentle pressing and static settling, fermentation took place in oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees at the beginning of ageing. The wine was then aged in once-used barrels for ten months.

Tasting
Beautiful pale gold colour with green highlights. The nose is refined and fresh, expressing elegant floral notes (acacia blossom, linden, vetiver), complemented by a delicate and complex woody touch reminiscent of sugared brioche and caramelised apple tarte Tatin. With aeration, subtle fruitier nuances emerge, evoking wild strawberry and confectionery. The palate is dense and concentrated, driven by lively freshness. The structure extends with precision, supported by a pleasant salinity and a slight bitterness that enhances the length. The finish reveals a delicate note of slightly underripe white peach, adding finesse and lift. A fresh and harmonious wine, both precise and expressive.
Food pairings
Ideal with grilled fish, lightly creamy poultry dishes or seasonal vegetables, highlighting its freshness, density and fine salinity.
