Nuits-Saint-Georges Cuvée du Château, Blanc, 2021

This emblematic wine of the Domaine is the passionate tribute of the DUFOULEUR Family to the Terroir of Nuits-Saint-Georges where they have been established for more than 400 years. An exclusive blend of two plots as well as the two noble grape varieties of the appellation, Chardonnay & Pinot Blanc, it expresses all the qualities we expect from a fine white Bourgogne wine: a rich bouquet of white flowers, an ample but chiseled mouthfeel and a long and distinguished finish.

The 2021 vintage will be remembered as a year without respite for the winegrowers and where the frost will have destroyed more than half of the harvest. A fresh year too, which allowed us to rediscover the balance of the century before, with, for the white wines, a sparkling acidity associated with a very fine concentration.

The estate's vineyards are managed in an approach that is fully respectful of the environment, recognized by the High Environmental Value certification level 3 (the highest). We grass the rows to encourage intense microbial life, work the soil mechanically and take great care to adjust and limit our interventions against vine enemies and diseases to what is strictly necessary.
