The vintage
The 2025 vintage is shaping up to be a very good year in the Southern Rhône. The hot, sunny summer encouraged excellent concentration in the grapes, while the cool nights preserved aromatic freshness and good acidity levels, essential for balanced wines. Despite the heat and some rain at the end of the harvest, the grapes remained remarkably healthy, with particularly concentrated fruit and controlled yields. Initial tastings reveal expressive wines with powerful aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackcurrants and blackberries, notes of rosemary, thyme, and lavender, characteristic of the garrigue. Their generous structure, driven by vibrancy, and balanced by a lovely freshness, suggests an excellent vintage.
Location
An 8 hectare leased vineyard, managed by the Château de Beaucastel team. Located in the township of Sarrians, south of the Dentelles de Montmirail.
Terroir
Ancient alluvial Mindel (Garrigues) soils, resting on Helvetian sand and yellow sandstone.
Ageing
The fresh harvest enters the cellar and goes through a cold skin maceration (10°), allowing to extract the fruitiness and fatness. A blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Fermentation in thermo-regulated tanks, ageing for 8 months on lees, 60% in stainless steel tanks and 40% in half-muids barrels. This year, we paid special attention during the ageing on the lees.

Tasting
An elegant wine with a radiant golden-yellow hue and bright silvery reflections. Fresh, delicate, and beautifully saline, the nose reveals aromas of white flowers, peaches, and white-fleshed fruit. After a clean, lively, and refreshing attack, the palate unfolds with roundness, revealing a rich, full, and silky texture, with pastry notes balanced by finely chiseled minerality. Long and persistent, the finish stands out with a noble bitterness, highlighted by hints of lemon zest. An elegant, perfectly balanced wine.
