Bruno Lafon came of age at his family’s Burgundy estate, soaking up generations of incomparable viticulture. Since 1999, Bruno has used his knowledge and skill to create excellent wine in the South of France for a fraction of the cost of his family’s Burgundy. Here you will come across our Picpoul from vineyards nearing the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, where Bruno Lafon sources the fruit for this crisp bottling.

Presentation
Located just north of Etang de Thau, this area features predominantly limestone clay soils. The
nearby Lagoon and Mediterranean Sea act as natural temperature moderators, minimizing fluctuations in the climate. The “Marin,” “Tramontane,” and “Mistral” winds also play a crucial role in maintaining the health of the grapes, ensuring optimal growing conditions in the vineyards.
Winemaking
Harvesting takes place under the night sky, followed by pressing and selective juice extraction.
The must undergoes clarification at cool temperatures, and fermentation occurs at 16°-17°C in
stainless steel tanks. The process includes a full malolactic fermentation and ends with a gentle
filtration prior to bottling. Notably, this wine receives no oak treatment, preserving its authentic
character.

Tasting
This wine captivates with its lush richness, featuring a heart of ripe stone and tropical fruits,
intertwined with nuances of citrus peel and saline. These elements create a delightful sensory
experience, evoking minerals, oceanic breezes, and floral aromas as you inhale its bouquet. On the
palate, the finish sparkles. Its medium body is perfectly counterbalanced by abundant acidity,
ensuring the wine retains a fresh and vibrant character throughout.
